What is an Accessory Dwelling Unit?
Accessory Dwelling Units are also known as ADU’s, Granny Flats, Backyard Homes, She Sheds and In-law Units. Accessory Dwelling Units are becoming more popular in California due to the housing shortage. This is one way to provide quality affordable housing to many. San Diego and San Luis Obispo have pathed the way, making it easier to put a home in your backyard.

Where can I put an ADU?
Several counties all over Oregon are allowing investors and homeowners to place an Accessory Dwelling Unit on their property if you can comply with the local ordinances (Setbacks, Fire Code, Architectural Standards, etc.).

WHAT’S A PARK MODEL?

Park models are quickly becoming a popular option for home buyers in the prefabricated home industry. Park model homes offer all the quality, safety, and comfort in other factory-built and traditionally constructed homes. However, they offer a smaller footprint, making park models a more versatile and often superior option. If you prefer to live in a manufactured or modular home community, park models are likely a perfect fit. Park model homes must meet the same rigorous quality and safety standards all habitable units.

Park models, often called tiny homes, offer all the luxury of a modern, factory-built modular home in a smaller package. Park model homes are usually limited to no more than 399 square feet. This makes park models ideal vacation getaways or homes for those looking to down size their lives. The size of park model homes also makes them the perfect choice to place in home parks or communities such as Hope Valley Resort in Turner Oregon (link: www.hopevalleyresorts.com) . They also allow home buyers to reduce the costs attributed with land and site preparation attributed to traditional dwellings.
